Xavier University Louisiana was founded in 1915 by Saint Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament in New Orleans. It is one of the 104 Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the US. HBCU’s are schools that were founded prior to the Civil Right’s Act of 1965 to serve African American students.
Even though it is a small school with about 3,300 students it is one of the nation’s leaders in STEM and health sciences. Xavier has more African American students who graduate from medical school each year than any other university in the country.

4 DAY SUMMER INTENSIVE CURRICULUM
A blueprint is something that acts as a plan, model, or template for something to be built in the future. Here at Blueprint Summer Programs we believe that students should be prepared for the future, not just for college success but for career and life success as well. All of our programs provide foundational academic skills that will lead to a fulfilling college experience and the soft skills that are required for living a healthy, productive, and independent life.
What is Blueprint’s College and Career Success Curriculum (CCS)?
Our CCS course is broken down into 2 sections: Practical knowledge and skill development (or college prep) and soft skill development. We are confident that both of these areas are critical not just for college success but for success in life.
- Practical Knowledge & Skill Development
Students will explore post-secondary options such as community colleges, 4 year colleges/universities, trade school programs, certification programs, and apprenticeships; how to pay for college; choosing a major/career; writing resumes and interviewing skills.
- Soft Skill Knowledge & Development
Soft skills are those skills employers look for when hiring employees, and those skills that are necessary for living a healthy and independent life, such as: self-management, time management, goal setting, communication, problem solving, critical thinking and utilizing resources.
The best experience of my daughter’s life. Her words. Thank you!
By the second day we had each other laughing hysterically on our way back from the dining hall! I couldn’t believe how quickly we all became friends.
I would HIGHLY recommend Blueprint to any family looking for a personal, high-value summer college experience.
Blueprint was the best part of my summer. It gave me a taste of college and helped me discover the type of college I would like to attend. I would not pass up a chance to do this program.
