Blueprint’s UCLA summer program for high school students offers a first, immersive glimpse into this extraordinary university. Extensive resources enable faculty and students to pursue research, special projects and social issues that impact the community and beyond. Of course, graceful palm trees, sunny skies and sandy beaches make UCLA a favorite destination for high school students across the country.
The university’s can-do attitude is a driving force behind many impressive achievements, including a vast array of Nobel Prizes, Rhodes Scholarships, NCAA titles and Olympic medals. UCLA’s tradition of dedication and discovery has earned the university consistent recognition among national and international rankings.

TUITION FOR BLUEPRINT @ UCLA – PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE
Tuition is designed to cover everything your high school student will need while at their UCLA pre-college summer program! University housing. On-campus activities. Supervision. Classroom instruction. Three meals per day. Everything! You won’t even need to submit an additional application fee! We do suggest a little “walk around” money if students want to pick up snacks and things like that, but unless you want us to meet your student at the airport or your course has a small lab fee to cover materials, your program tuition covers absolutely everything! UCLA SUMMER PROGRAM ENROLLMENT
Enrollment in Blueprint’s UCLA summer program for high school students is limited. Online registrations are accepted on a rolling basis until the program is sold out. To reserve your space, we strongly recommend completing our online registration process as early as possible.
UCLA’s designated airport is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Students traveling to the program by plane may request Blueprint’s Pick-Up/Drop-Off service during the online registration process for an additional fee.
Blueprint Summer Program at UCLA offers courses that are both fun and rewarding. Our Core Four – Business, Computer Science, Psychology and Forensic Science – are available at all program schools. We also offer six Career Courses that vary by location. These courses take advantage of campus and community amenities, and have highly limited availability.

- Our instructors are of the highest caliber and come from across the country. Instructors are handpicked for each program.
- Each course is custom developed by Blueprint Instructors – the course descriptions are just examples of what can be covered in class.

Select a pre-college course and study it for one or two weeks! Course material doesn’t repeat, so the longer you stay the more you learn.

Go beyond prime time television shows and take a closer look at the real-world professionals who make a career out of solving crimes. This hands-on course investigates the origins of forensic science and criminology, the impact of modern technology and the breakthroughs that are on the horizon. Psychology is a favorite course for college students – and Blueprint students – for obvious reasons. (Serial killers! Body language! Experiments!) Students will spend time focusing on the ins and outs of behavioral science. YOUR UCLA SUMMER HOME
The UCLA campus takes full advantage of California’s natural beauty, with blue skies, sparkling water and plenty of sun. This is one pre-college summer program where you may never want to go indoors! When you do, though, you’ll enjoy modern amenities, recreation options and state-of-the art facilities throughout the campus.

Over 94% of UCLA freshmen live on campus, and for good reason! The traditional residence halls – high rise buildings featuring double and triple rooms with community bathrooms – are just a short walk away from classes and campus amenities. UCLA features a variety of dining, entertainment and recreation options, such as on-site museums and art galleries.

The campus grounds at UCLA are an attraction all their own. You’ll find perfect spots for hanging out among the scenic terraces, cafés, palm trees and pathways. The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center, the university’s premier waterfront recreation center, is located in nearby Marina del Rey. There you’ll find equipment rentals, fire pits and gorgeous sunset views.

The UCLA campus is a hub of diversity, culture and innovation, with facilities that connect students to the world around them. Check out dancers, singers, poets and performers at university venues such as the Freud Playhouse, the Glorya Kaufman Dance Theater, Schoenberg Hall and Royce Hall. UCLA is also home to 10 world-class libraries, including the newly renovated Charles E. Young Research Library. Then stop by Covel Commons for a wood-fired pizza or grab an after-hours bite at De Neve Late Night.
UCLA PROGRAM STAFF
For each high school summer program, Blueprint hires a skilled crew of directors, teachers, resident advisers. Our directors oversee all aspects of program life and ensure that each student has the opportunity to become an active member of the community. Courses are taught by gifted teachers and talented professionals. We recruit only the brightest and most passionate teachers to connect with our students. Our resident advisers act as big brothers and sisters to high school students while they’re away from home. They help students acclimate to new settings and guide them through little challenges along the way.

UCLA ACTIVITIES + TRIPS
The UCLA high school summer program is an Instragram paradise! We’ll check out legendary coasters and spectacular thrill rides during the first week. Then we’re off to dodge the paparazzi and experience some of L.A.’s must-see attractions and beaches the next week. We love California!

Calling all thrill seekers! This is no ordinary theme park visit. Six Flags Magic Mountain is packed with some of the biggest, baddest, beastliest coasters in the country. You can kick it old school on Colossus, a classic dual-track wooden coaster, or brave the futuristic Tatsu – the world’s tallest, fastest and longest flying coaster. We’ll also get to check out Full Throttle, the world’s tallest and fastest looping coaster, new for 2014!
