2020 Terms & Conditions
Blueprint shall provide the Services to the Student subject to the conditions listed below. By booking and paying the deposit you agree on behalf of yourself and the Student to be bound by these Conditions listed herein. These Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Blueprint and you/the Student and may not be varied except in writing by Blueprint. Enrollment is accepted at the discretion of Blueprint and is not transferable, unless in writing and according to the terms below.
You shall fully complete the Registration Form and at your own expenses supply Blueprint with all necessary and other information required by Blueprint in connection with the Services listed herein. Blueprint may correct any typographical or other errors or omissions in any Blueprint material relating to the provision of the Services without incurring any liability to you.
The Pre-College Summer Immersion and 4 Day Summer Intensive program tuition includes room accommodations, on-campus activities, instruction and three meals per day. The Saturday Series tuition includes instruction and a snack. The optional trip for Pre-College Experience 2 week students varies by location and is an additional charge. Itineraries may be changed due to restrictions beyond Blueprint’s control such as holidays, strikes, traffic conditions or inclement weather, etc. Tuition does not include transportation to and from the program, spending cash, insurance or medical expenses. Airport pick-up and drop-off is available for the Pre-College Summer Immersion and 4 Day Summer Intensive programs through Blueprint for an additional fee.
Reservations, Deposits and Payments
To reserve a space at any Blueprint Program, you must start by completing your registration accompanied by the minimum non-refundable deposit of $500 (Pre-College Summer Immersion) or $250 (Saturday Series and 4 Day Intensive). Applicants may be placed on a waitlist pending space availability.
Enrolling students who elect to pay only the deposit at the time of registration and break up the remainder of the tuition into a payment plan, will be automatically charged a portion of the balance on the 1st of every month up until January 1 (Saturday Series) or June 1 (Pre-College Immersion and 4 Day Intensive). All tuition payments are payable through Blueprint’s CampIn Touch interface via credit card, debit card or e-check. Any payments made by credit card will incur a fee equal to 2% of the payment. Families can also log into their account at any point prior to June 1 to make additional payments with no penalty.
Payments must be received in full by January 1 for the Saturday Series and by June 1 for the Pre-College Summer Immersion and 4 Day Summer Intensive programs. Any balances remaining after the due date will incur a $50 per week late fee and be automatically deducted from the account on file. If this is not possible Blueprint has the right to terminate this agreement and send notification of cancellation to the email address used when registering. Students registering after December 31 (Saturday Series) or May 31 (Pre-College Immersion or 4 Day Intensive) will not incur a late fee but must pay all program tuition in full.
A $35.00 fee will be added to any returned charges or checks.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
A per student, per program, non-refundable tuition deposit of $250 (Saturday Series and 4 Day Intensive) or $500 (Pre-College Immersion) is required with each registration. Individuals may withdraw from the program at any time, subject to the following refund policy, but must do so in writing to [email protected].
- Students who register for a Blueprint program, but decide to withdraw within 72 hours of the initial registration will be given a full refund, including their deposit.
- Students withdrawing within 1 week of their registration date will receive a refund of any tuition paid, less the non-refundable deposit.
- Students withdrawing more than a week after registration are ineligible for a refund from Blueprint, but may file a claim using the Program Protection Insurance enrolled in during registration, the premiums of which are reimbursed by Blueprint.
In the case that full tuition has not been paid at the time of cancellation, it is still owed. I agree that if I cancel my registration, but have paid less than what I owe as defined above, Blueprint may immediately charge my credit card or e-check account for the balance due. Students shrinking from a 2 week program to a 1 week program count as program cancellations and the difference in tuition will be subject to the refund policy.
Student Initiated Changes/Substitutions
NOTE: THESE FEES WILL BE WAIVED FOR 2020
Any requests to change courses or Pre-College Experience and 4 Day Intensive programs after May 1st will incur a $100 change fee.
Families wishing to substitute another person in their place may only do so in writing to Blueprint and must receive Blueprint approval. A letter of withdrawal and a new application must be sent to [email protected] along with an additional Student Change fee. Change fees are as follows:
- $100 change fee prior to three months prior to program start.
- $500 change fee from one to three months prior to program start.
- No program changes are permitted the month prior to program start.
If Blueprint cannot accept a substitute person, the original person must abide by the published refund policy. If approved, the original applicant’s fees will be transferred to substitute.
Course Enrollment and Class Cancellation
If a course must be cancelled for any reason, students will be notified a week prior to the program start date to choose a different course. Refunds will not be offered for courses that do not enroll.
In the spring, more information will be shared via email to all email addresses entered at registration and on CampIn Touch. It is the responsibility of families to review it for exact arrival and departure times and locations, as well as other important information.
Blueprint does not arrange flights for students but can be available to escort your Pre-College Summer Immersion or 4 Day Summer Intensive student to and/or from campus. If you want a Blueprint staff member to meet your student at the airport (rather than arranging for your own taxi or Uber) the Blueprint Chaperoned Transportation Service should be added to your account for a fee of $99 each way. For pick-up and drop-off you agree to arrange flight arrival and departure times according to the times listed in your Welcome Packet. Transportation needed outside those times will incur a $49 fee per occurrence, which Blueprint will charge to your payment method on file the week before your program.
Blueprint’s programs are open to all students, including those with special needs. However, this program can include moderate to high amounts of walking and climbing stairs. In all instances and locations, accommodations can be met, per ADA requirements. Please contact the Blueprint office to find out about programs and options for special needs.
Student Health information is managed in partnership with Campminder.com through CampIn Touch. By registering for a Blueprint program you agree to complete your student’s health profile in-full and on-time as specified by the CampIn Touch system. This may include, but is not limited to: A full health history of your student signed by his/her physician, complete and up-to-date immunization records, and proof of health insurance. Failure to complete student health forms, aka 100% completeness of your CampIn Touch profile, by June 1, 2020 will result in a fee of $25 per week, charged to the payment method on file, until June 15, at which time the student may be removed from the program without refund. The fees will be waived for students registering after May 23, 2020 but the student may be removed from the program without refund if all information is not complete one week prior to their program start.
Liability, Travel and Medical Forms
All students are required to have Liability, Travel, Program Rules, and Medical consent forms filled out by a parent or legal guardian. By registering for a Blueprint Program you agree to sign all necessary forms required by Blueprint Summer Programs. All forms will be located in the CampIn Touch system. If there are any questions regarding the forms please contact [email protected] If you and your student do not sign the required forms, your student will not be able to attend the program. No refund will be given for cancellation due to incomplete student forms.
All students are required to have health insurance. Health insurance policy information must be provided. It is also highly recommended that students carry a copy of their insurance card in the event that emergency medical care is needed. Costs associated with all medical services are the sole responsibility of the student’s family, including services rendered by providers outside the student’s health insurance policy.
By registering you agree that you understand that your student will be attending a pre-college experience, and will, at times, not be directly supervised by program staff. This includes, but isn’t limited to, time to explore campus, Sunday Funday, free time in dorms, and sleeping hours. You agree that your student is able to follow program rules when not directly supervised and agrees to attend all classes and mandatory activities, as well as check in with staff at the times designated each day.
Blueprint takes photographs, videos and quotes of program activities, some of which may be used on our website, social media, in classes, activities, print publications, online publications, presentations and other promotional marketing pieces. Your student may appear in one or more of these photographs or videos. By registering, you agree to allow Blueprint Summer Programs to use them and confirm that you understand that neither the student nor you will receive financial compensation, royalties or fees for any photographs taken during the program.
We shall not be liable for any delay in performing or failure to perform any obligation (including to action any alteration or cancellation) due to any case beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to lock-outs, strikes, shortages of personnel, labour disputes, war, riot, act of God, civil commotion, terrorism, malicious damage, threats to safety, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, environmental contamination, pandemic outbreak of disease, fire, or inability to use contracted facilities. No refund will be made, except at Blueprint’s discretion.
If any provision of these Conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
Jurisdiction, Venue, and Choice of Law
By registering, you acknowledge and agree that your agreement with Blueprint is governed exclusively by the laws of North Carolina and you irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of any court within Buncombe County, State of North Carolina, in connection with any matter based upon or arising from or related to the Service provided by Blueprint.
