Ronnie LaGro : Food Lover, Runner, Ultimate Frisbee-er, Pre-College Psychology Instructor!
Ronnie earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2006. Following his desire to help those in need, Ronnie volunteered full-time in Chicago and New York serving homeless people.
After becoming a diehard fan of Chicago-style hot dogs (has to be Vienna Beef!) and Giordano’s Chicago-style pizza, Ronnie worked professionally with developmentally disabled youth, with foster youth, and at a locked psychiatric hospital. All these experiences spurred him on to pursue a Master of Social Work at the University of Southern California. He just completed his first year at USC and after earning his degree, Ronnie hopes to become a counselor for youth and young adults.
Outside of his summer psychology camp, it’s likely you’ll find Ronnie going on a run, playing Ultimate Frisbee, dominating Halo 4 or flying his stunt kite. With any luck, he’ll lead an expedition to Diddy Reise to get the best cookie ice cream sandwiches in Los Angeles. Or Wurstkuche for Rabbit-Rattlesnake Sausage.
Ronnie is so excited to teach for Blueprint Summer Programs that he is willing to work at USC’s archival, UCLA. Incorporating films, music, and his unique experience, Ronnie hopes to help students discover the fascinating world of psychology. Welcome to the best pre-college summer program!
