Program Protection Insurance

Here at Blueprint Summer Programs, we know that the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has created some uncertainty and we fully understand that you may have concerns about your child participating in a summer program. To begin with, please understand that there is no higher priority to Blueprint Summer Programs than the safety of our students and staff.

The purpose of this letter is to share with you what we are currently doing and what we plan to do as we move forward, as well as share information about the Program Protection Insurance we are offering at no additional cost to you. This plan will allow you to enroll with the comfort of knowing you are protected financially if your student does not attend.

Current Situation

We currently plan to host all of our programs as scheduled. We are carefully monitoring the situation through contact with local public health officials and our host universities as well as staying up to date on the recommendations from the US Centers for Disease Control. While the CDC has stated it is too early to make any decisions about how this situation will evolve over the next few months, we have been and will continue to work with our host universities on emergency plans and cancellation criteria.

In the event that one of our host universities closes or is unable to host our students, we will work to offer our program at a nearby location as well as give students the option to attend one of our other program locations with no program change fee. These options, along with the Program Protection Insurance, will allow families to have the final decision on how or if your student participates.

Planning & Program Pre-screening

We already have plans in place to provide extra safeguards, including updated training for our staff to help identify potential infections, extra sanitizing tools available, handwashing stations, and as always, we have identified local hospitals and medical centers in close proximity to program locations in the event we need to access them.

Based on our current Student Health Policy, we require a full immunization record and full health history from a doctor certifying that the student is in good health. In addition to these precautions, we reserve the right to not admit students who pose an infectious threat to others and may restrict student participation for those who have been within areas identified as having a Level 1, 2 & 3 Travel Health Notice within 14 days of the start of their program.

Program Protection Insurance

We understand families may need more time to make a decision and are concerned about committing to a program for this summer with so much uncertainty. In order to address those concerns, and to ensure our customers are safeguarded, we now offer Program Protection Insurance at no additional cost, which will ensure you are able to enroll in the program of your choice before it fills up.

During our registration process, you will be able to enroll in the CampDoc Deluxe plan, which includes Cancel for Any Reason coverage, and the cost of the policy will be credited to your Blueprint account.

Blueprint Summer Programs has been in business for over 13 years and we have navigated difficult situations before, including the Avian Flu, Zika, Measles, and Ebola. We have provided a safe, educational and fun program for thousands of students and have always and will always remain vigilant in regard to the safety of our students and staff. We hope that you give us the chance to make this summer something your student will remember for the rest of their lives!
