Hey Team Stonehill, want to meet your Director of Residence Life? Say hey to Megan!
Megan has lived in many different parts of the country – she was born and raised in Chicago, went to college in San Francisco, and now lives in New York City. After graduating from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, she moved back to Chicago to teach as a corps member with the Teach For America program.
Megan spent three years teaching prekindergarten in South Shore, the neighborhood where her mother (and Michelle Obama) grew up. Realizing her dream to teach, Megan is now living in Manhattan, working on a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education at Teachers College – Columbia University.

In her free time, she goes to kickboxing classes and organizes dinner parties with friends. She loves bringing people together for food and conversation, which is why she is excited for her role as Director of Residence Life.
Megan went to summer camp for ten years, both as camper and counselor, as well as acted as a Resident Advisor in college for a year, so she knows how important and transforming shared living experiences can be. She is excited to hear from students about what they are interested in and start planning programs everyone can enjoy together. This is going to be a great summer!
