SATURDAY SERIES CURRICULUM
A blueprint is something that acts as a plan, model, or template for something to be built in the future. Here at Blueprint Summer Programs we believe that students should be prepared for the future, not just for college success but for career and life success as well. All of our programs provide foundational academic skills that will lead to a fulfilling college experience and the soft skills that are required for living a healthy, productive, and independent life.
What is Blueprint’s College and Career Success Curriculum (CCS)?
Our CCS course is broken down into 2 sections: Practical knowledge and skill development (or college prep) and soft skill development. We are confident that both of these areas are critical not just for college success but for success in life.
- Practical Knowledge & Skill Development
Students will explore post-secondary options such as community colleges, 4 year colleges/universities, trade school programs, certification programs, and apprenticeships; how to pay for college; choosing a major/career; writing resumes and interviewing skills. - Soft Skill Knowledge & Development
Soft skills are those skills employers look for when hiring employees, and those skills that are necessary for living a healthy and independent life, such as: self-management, time management, goal setting, communication, problem solving, critical thinking and utilizing resources.
