Pre College Engineering Summer Programs
Open To High School Students Entering Grades 9 – 12
Do you enjoy science and math? Do you want to provide real solutions that help improve efficiency and lives in the world around you? A summer Engineering course for high school students course could be the right choice for you!
What Is Engineering?
Engineers provide solutions to numerous problems. They understand the world around them and offer theories to make things more efficient and effective. Using scientific and mathematic principles, engineers improve current processes while anticipating future complications in areas from architecture to healthcare to the environment and more.
Intro to Engineering with Blueprint Summer Programs
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) was introduced by scientific administrators in 2001, and since then organizations and universities have been developing programs deeply rooted in the rigorous skills and educational foundation needed to pursue degrees and careers in these areas. However, a large number of students who may be interested in one of these areas may still have questions about what they can actually pursue and how it can be applicable to their lives. This course is designed for those students.
We will explore five of the most popular specialties within the field of engineering and dive into some projects that will give an idea of how skills are applied. Students will examine the concepts of building structures like bridges and tunnels, explore medical technologies that help people with injuries and disabilities, learn about rocket science, and discover a variety of engineering related professions. Program areas of concentration are:
- Civil Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering,
- Environmental Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
Like all of our courses, our summer engineering programs are fun and engaging. You get top-notch instructors who love to teach. No homework. No tests. No worries! It’s a great way to explore your interests with zero pressure to perform. Imagine, Plan, And Create With Us This Summer!
What is Blueprint’s College and Career Success Curriculum (CCS)?
Our College and Career Success course is broken down into 2 sections: Practical knowledge and skill development (or college prep) and soft skill development. We are confident that both of these areas are critical not just for college success but for success in life. Students will explore post-secondary options, how to pay for college, choosing a major/career, writing resumes, interviewing skills, time management, goal setting, communication, problem solving, utilizing resources and more.
