This summer we’re very excited that our pre-college program at UVA in creative writing is being led by Tawni Auxier!
Get excited about UCLA because your pre-college summer program is led by Cait Sleight! Cait earned her B.A. in Psychology with a Research Concentration Track and specialization in Neuroscience at the University of Connecticut. After graduation, she traded her country living for a city life in Manhattan, working at Columbia University Medical Center in the Psychiatry Department.
The Daily Meal is a great resource for food so… why not pick their brains for college food?
Most people don’t know that most colleges outsource their meals to companies like sodexo, aramark – better known for their contracts with prisons and nursing homes – that’s right you could go from cradle to college to prison to nursing home being fed by the same billion dollar company. Gross?
Anyway, we think you’d be hard pressed to find that any of the schools below use these companies (but we could be wrong!). Here’s the Daily Meals list of the top 60 schools for grub!
Hey Team Stonehill, want to meet your Director of Residence Life? Say hey to Megan!
Megan has lived in many different parts of the country – she was born and raised in Chicago, went to college in San Francisco, and now lives in New York City. After graduating from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, she moved back to Chicago to teach as a corps member with the Teach For America program.
Megan spent three years teaching prekindergarten in South Shore, the neighborhood where her mother (and Michelle Obama) grew up. Realizing her dream to teach, Megan is now living in Manhattan, working on a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education at Teachers College – Columbia University.
