Student Experience:

Our academic philosophy is student oriented. It centers on imparting practical knowledge that prepares you for success in college and beyond. Instead of the traditional emphasis on information dissemination, Blueprint featuring Minerva focuses on developing your abilities to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, and work well with others. These aspects of your education are far more important than simply memorizing facts and concepts because they provide a set of practical and adaptable skills, together with an understanding of how to apply them in the world.

Students in the course benefit from using the Blueprint featuring Minerva Forum platform that creates an engaging class experience that is unmatched on other learning platforms. The curriculum for this course was intentionally structured to emphasize four core skills relevant in today’s world — thinking critically, thinking creatively, communicating effectively, and interacting effectively. Live, video-based seminars enhance student-to-professor and peer-to-peer interactions by ensuring that everyone is visibly engaged and actively participating. The Forum also facilitates numerous rapid mode changes, including moving from full group discussion to smaller breakout groups, one-on-one and team debates, collaborative document sharing and editing, as well as dynamic polling and real-time simulations.

Blueprint’s small class size, fewer than 25 students — coupled with the Forum’s advanced technology, enables professors to provide expert instruction, direct personal interaction, and frequent feedback, simultaneously ensuring that every student is an active class participant.
