Summer Behavioral and Psychology Science Program for High School Students
Open To High School Students Entering Grades 9 – 12
Are you interested in public health? Have you considered becoming a therapist? Would love to better understand human behavior before heading to law school? Then a degree in a behavioral science field may be perfect for you!
What is Behavioral Science?
Behavioral Sciences are an area of study which examines human behavior within our social structures and is often linked with the social sciences. Whether you want to be a psychologist, lawyer or researcher, work in public health, analyze behavior for the FBI or a marketing firm or help those with adictions, a background in Behavioral Science is invaluable.
Intro to Behavioral Science with Blueprint Summer Programs
Blueprint’s pre-college course in Behavioral Science will explore some of the key areas of study and careers associated with the field. Students will learn about psychology, explore how a degree in Behavioral Sciences can form a great foundation for post graduate studies in everything from Law to Business to Medicine, and make the distinction between counseling, social work, social/human services and other behavioral science related professions. This is a great course for future attorneys, sports managers and business owners to pair with Business 101, while future Forensic Scientists, Psychiatrists and Nurses will have a well rounded experience by also taking Medicine 101. Areas of concentration include:
- Human/Social Services
- Public Health
Like all of our courses, Behavioral Science with Blueprint is fun and engaging. You get top-notch instructors who love to teach. No homework. No tests. No worries! It’s a great way to explore your interests with zero pressure to perform. Join us, and get ready to dream big and plan bigger! Research, discuss and explore with us this summer!
What is the Pre-College Summer Immersion?
Students attending our 1 or 2 week Pre-College Summer Immersion will choose two out of four major concentration courses to explore during the first week along with our signature College and Career Success (CCS) curriculum. The day will be split into 4 class times – one for each concentration course, one for CCS college prep, and one for CCS soft skills.
Our two week students will dive deeper into the CCS curriculum and campus immersion, which will be enhanced with the Introduction to Electives course, where they will get a taste of various subjects that can be studied outside of their major.
In addition, every Blueprint day will include time to explore the campus and each evening will include on-campus activities that help students understand the importance of engagement outside the classroom.
What is Blueprint’s College and Career Success Curriculum (CCS)?
Our CCS course is broken down into 2 sections: Practical knowledge and skill development (or college prep) and soft skill development. We are confident that both of these areas are critical not just for college success but for success in life. Students will explore post-secondary options, how to pay for college, choosing a major/career, writing resumes, interviewing skills, time management, goal setting, communication, problem solving, utilizing resources and more.
The best experience of my daughter’s life. Her words. Thank you!
By the second day we had each other laughing hysterically on our way back from the dining hall! I couldn’t believe how quickly we all became friends.
I would HIGHLY recommend Blueprint to any family looking for a personal, high-value summer college experience.
